EDTA Tube is widely used in clinical haematology as well as various kinds of blood cell test instruments EDTA tube binds the calcium ions and therefore blocks the coagulation cascade. Erythrocytes, leucocytes and thrombocytes in an EDTA anticoagulated blood sample are stable for up to 24 hours. Mixing recommendation: Heparin tubes should be gently inverted 180 and back 8-10 times.
